News from the Board
Greetings, EOEE 4th Day.
I want to celebrate with the Community and the New 4 th Day members, the successful
completion of the Men’s and Women’s Walk 106. If you were able to take part in these
events, I know you were blessed.
At the October Board meeting we took the next step in our process to ensure that Walks
107 will be successful by electing the Weekend Assistant Lay Leaders, who will be the
Lay Leaders for Walks 109. It is my pleasure to announce that these positions will be
filled by Jack Ritenhour and Erica Valentine.
John Shilling and Diane Boslett with the support of their assistants are starting to form
their teams for Walk 107. So please keep them in your prayers as they contact those
that God is leading them to ask to be on team for Spring of 2026. The walks are April 9th
through the 12th for the men and April 16th through the 19th for the women.
Now is the time to start sending pilgrim applications for the Spring 2026 walks. It would
be great when John and Diane start their team meetings that they know they have a
group of pilgrims to prepare the team for.
The Board has also had an election for the Community Assistant Lay Director who will
begin serving in January and I take great pleasure in announcing that Jim Grafe will
serve the Community over the next three years, as he moves through the leadership
roles on the Board.
Another event that I want to emphasize is that on November 15th at 4:30 PM prior to our
next Gathering (6 to 9) there will be a 4th Day Experience. This is a time for the New 4th
Day and their sponsors to come to meet some of the leadership of the Community and
to hear how they can volunteer to serve. If you want to learn more about the
Community and how to get more involved, you are welcome to attend this meeting as
well.
On December 6th we will be having our annual event, The Walk to the Manger. This
replaces the normal gathering for the month and is being held early in December to not
conflict with family and church Christmas activities.
Please read the rest of the Newsletter to get all the times and locations for these
upcoming events.
