News from the Board
June 23, 2025
Greetings, EOEE 4th Day.
As we are halfway through the year, we are at the point where the At Large member of
the Board, along with a nominating committee, is starting to look for Emmaus
community members to fill some board positions opening in 2026. The Weekend Lay
Leaders for Walk 106, Chris Vaughn and Becky McCullough, are in the middle of inviting
community members to be part of the teams that will begin meeting later this summer.
Members of the various board committees are also looking for volunteers to assist them
in the tasks that help everything run smoothly.
As we look forward to the October Walk 106 weekends, there are many ways you can
help to make the weekends successful, such as:
Help with purchasing supplies for the weekends
Sign up for the prayer vigil
Come to camp to serve meals
Come to camp to pray for speakers
Provide music for the Candlelight service
Attend Candlelight and Closing
Provide agape (for the table, snacks, speakers, or agape bags)
Many community members, especially new 4th Day, might not be aware of how and
where to get involved, and need more information. Members of our Board can answer
many of your questions, from serving on the Board or teams and other ways to
volunteer, to knowing where to deliver the Agape letters you write.
We can help you with:
How to find a reunion/accountability group
How to sponsor a pilgrim
How to learn more about Emmaus (there are videos called “Emmaus University”
on the UpperRoom.org website)
If you are interested in any of these topics, please text me with your name, contact
information, and a list of items you would like more information on, at 330-317-9479. I
will send your questions to the board members who can best answer them, and they will
get back to you. You can also let me know if you are interested in serving on an
upcoming team, and although there are no guarantees that you will be chosen, I will
give your name and information to the future Weekend Lay Leaders as they pray about
who God wants on their teams.
